When I visited with Maureen we shared this scripture 2 Corinthians 5:8 says, We are confident, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord,. It is comforting to know she is no longer in pain, I will miss her. Praying God will comfort those who greave.

So sorry to hear this terrible news. I worked many years with Maureen and she was always a wonderful positive & cheerful colleague, Soooo sad and way too young. Heart-felt condolences to the family.

Eric-Marc Loebenberg (CGI now, formerly Bell Canada)

Of many many memories of Maureen over the years, one is abiding. I had been elected President of the Lay Readers Association of Montreal. My predecessor was retired from employment and had been very hands-on in his role. I was not retired, could not be hands-on, and really did not want to be. The Executive met for its first meeting. I explained that I was going to need help. After I listed the roles that needed to be filled, there were a few seconds of silence - that seemed like eternity - then Maureen spoke up with her bright voice. “Well, I don’t know how to do that {Membership Secretary} job - but I could learn”. Maureen’s step set in motion an avalanche of volunteering, and within minutes we had a Dream Team active Executive in place. Thankyou Lord for Maureen, and the joyful years of working with her here on earth.
