Rodolphe Samson

1945 - 2021

Condolences to his family and many friends. I too will miss his calls we made to one another. His laugh would lighten up the day. Sam nurtured his friendships. Some of the suggestions he had for certain politicians could not be put into print but would bring on a good laugh. Sam, you will be sorely missed. You were a true and loyal friend.

So sorry to hear of Sam’s passing. I got to know Sam in Leysin Switzerland in the early 70s. He was renown for sometimes falling asleep with his head in the soup. We called it Saming. He was a character. Photo is of Sam hanging out window at Club Vagabond in Leysin.

Great memories of many times together way back to Mykonos in '72. Lots of laughs, shared beverages (Calvados!), early evening Sam-ings, birthday calls, hysterically funny political chats... A really loyal friend. We'll miss you, Sam!

Added to Nancy and Andy Janus message. Sam was the only Canadian (and we know many) who was not a fan of hockey.

I always enjoyed skiing and getting together with Sam. He was a fun guy to be around. I am making a donation to the NH Audubon Society in Sam's name. Whenever I spoke with him, he mentioned how much he enjoyed watching the birds out one of his windows. RIP, Sam
