Nos plus sincères condoléances à la famille

Suddenly, Doreen has left, quietly in her sleep. Always “on deck” to weave on her loom at home, in West Brome and outdoors at the Brome Fair (a 4-day demo in all kinds of weather). bake a cake and bring ice cream to celebrate a birthday, etc., etc. Scheduled to deliver a homily at church service on Dec. 29, she had already prepared and typed it before God called her. Her bright personality and devotion to family, friends and everything she was involved in will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Our heartfelt sympathies for Hollis and family.

Our sympathy goes out to Judy Page and her family, Doreen was a very special person. I met her many years ago as a teacher and she certainly was a great one.

Doreen was a much beloved teacher for many years at Massey-Vanier, where I was privileged to work with her. So dedicated to her students. We will always remember those sometimes long, uninteresting staff meetings hearing Doreen's knitting needles clicking away at the back of the room - a serene smile on her face - happy doing what she loved - making something! Rest in peace dear Doreen, you will be remembered and missed. Pat Johnson

A wonderful teacher to both my husband and myself, as well as my siblings, at Royal George School back in the day in Greenfield Park. She was an extraordinary woman who left a positive mark on all of us. There is a little part of her that is in all of us! A life well lived for sure!!

A shining light has dimmed at Grace Church, on Holmes Road, the Weaver's Guild, Brome Fair and countless other places where this amazing woman made her mark. A devoted wife to Hollis, a tireless worker with the Anglican Church Women of Sutton, a Lay Reader and friend to so many. We are grateful to have enjoyed your friendship all these years.
