Jean McClatchie-Scott

1924 - 2024

Est décédée paisiblement le 3 novembre 2024 à l'âge de 100 ans, Mme Jean Scott (née McClatchie), fille de feu Raymond McClatchie et de feu May Trafford, épouse de feu Keith Scott, mère de feu Wayne et grand-mère de feu Jesse.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Marvin, Bob (Pam) et Brenda (Donald) ; ses petits-enfants bien-aimés : Chris (Kim), Tim (Lou), Chloé (Udit), Emilie (Jamie), Adam, Scott (Kelly), Amanda (Hal) et Nick (Sam) et ses arrière-petits-enfants : Dylan, Owen, Rhea, Mila, Sam, Liam, Skylar et Rowan.

Née à North Hatley, Jean est arrivée à Cowansville à l'âge de 12 ans et a fréquenté l'école secondaire de Cowansville. Pendant de nombreuses années, elle a été membre active de l’Église Unie Emmanuel, de Rebekah Lodge, du Fordyce Women’s Institute, du Card Club et de Grandmother’s to Grandmother’s. Elle aimait la danse carrée, le tricot, les jeux de cartes et de cribbage, le golf et le bowling.

On se souviendra de Jean pour sa gentillesse, sa générosité, son esprit bienveillant et sa volonté d'aider les autres.

Merci aux aimables travailleurs pour les soins prodigués à la Résidence Principale Excelsoins Cowansville et au CHSLD de Farnham.

Une célébration privée de sa vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure au Pettes Cemetery.

Passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024 at the age of 100, Jean McClatchie Scott, daughter of late Raymond McClatchie and late May Trafford, predeceased by husband Keith, son, Wayne and grandson, Jesse.

Leaves to mourn her children, Marvin, Bob (Pam) and Brenda (Donald). Loving grandmother to Chris (Kim), Tim (Lou), Chloe (Udit), Emilie (Jamie), Adam, Scott (Kelly), Amanda (Hal), Nick (Sam) and great-grandmother to Dylan, Owen, Rhea, Mila, Sam, Liam, Skylar and Rowan.

Born in North Hatley, Jean came to Cowansville at the age of 12 and attended Cowansville High School. For many years, she was an active member of Emmanuel United Church, Rebekah Lodge, Fordyce Women’s Institute, Card Club and Grandmother’s to Grandmother’s. She enjoyed square-dancing, knitting, playing cards and cribbage, golfing and bowling.

Jean will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and caring spirit and her willingness to help others.

Thank you to the kind workers for the care given to her at Residence Principale Excelsoins Cowansville and CHSLD Foyers Farnham.

A private celebration of her life will be held at the Pettes Cemetery at a later date.
